Hotel Monte Hermana Kobe Amalie

The location is perfect and the staff are so kind. I lost my passport on the train by accident, and the receptionist, who spoke great English, called the information center right away. With their help I had my passport back within an hour. I'm really grateful, and would highly recommend Amalie Hotel to anyone visiting Kobe.

The bathroom was the best we had on our whole trip, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. Excellent hotel in a great location. Thank you.

Getting around, finding places to eat and going out were all easy from here, with Ikuta Jinja Shrine nearby too. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, although its sister hotel close by has an Italian one. Breakfast was very good, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. My room was clean, though I didn't care for the thick carpet. The rooms are small, as is typical in Japan, and the bathroom felt cramped. With only three laundry machines, there was a bit of competition to use them in the late afternoon.

I came back in early spring this year and really liked the atmosphere. My room was lovely, and the service was quick and friendly. From 7 to 10pm, you could help yourself to tea bags or use the coffee machines on the first floor, a thoughtful touch. It was easy to get out for meals and shopping, and the friendly shops are worth recommending.
