Villa Fontaine Kobe - Sannomiya

It's about a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, and the neighborhood feels quiet and pleasant while still being convenient. A supermarket and drugstore next door stay open until 10 p.m., with convenience stores and restaurants nearby too. The hotel has a stylish modern look, and the rooms are really spacious. It's also handy for drivers: there's a partner parking lot next door, and the fee is fairly reasonable for Kobe.

The free snacks and drinks from 5-8 made the atmosphere feel welcoming, and it was something I hadn't seen another hotel do. There's easy access to the train station and plenty to do nearby. The staff were friendly, the amenities were great, and the hotel was truly amazing. I'd stay again and again.

Ono San and Namba san made our stay especially pleasant. When we mentioned a problem from our previous accommodation in Kyoto, Ono San patiently tried calling them, though she couldn't get through. She left an internal message for Namba san, who picked it up and helped us resolve things before we checked out and headed to Osaka. Both were terrific with their customer service. The hotel was also within walking distance of Sannoniya Station, even with our luggage.

Getting to the hotel from shin-kobe station by public transport may be tricky, so a taxi is probably easier. Once there, we found the rooms spacious, the bed comfortable, and the amenities satisfactory. There's a laundry and dryer area, but no onsens. That was fine with us since guests get free happy hour in the evening, and the hotel was easy to find.
