I arrived by car and was lucky to find one of the free spaces at the back. Check-in was quick and easy. You can pick up amenities at the front desk on your way upstairs. My room, and the bathroom too, were larger than most Japanese rooms. It was clean and tidy, the Wi-Fi worked well the whole stay, and I really enjoyed having a full-sized bathtub. Breakfast is available, but it wasn't part of my rate, so I can't comment on it. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Kochi. It's at the end of Sunday Market Street, about a 15-minute walk from the Castle, so the location is pretty central.

The female staff at the front desk were excellent, friendly, polite, and attentive. Their professionalism stood out against the room's condition. Some other staff interactions didn't have the same warmth, though those women's kindness was the only redeeming part of my stay. The room hygiene was unacceptable, with visible mold, dusty corners, and an unclean feel that made it very uncomfortable. I'd give cleanliness one star or less. The facilities are outdated and badly need renovation. Unless major improvements are made, I wouldn't recommend this property.

We had free parking, and the location was great. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and the staff were efficient and pleasant.

The room was really clean and fairly large, and the bathroom was bigger than average too. For a business hotel, this place is good, and I liked it a lot. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and public transportation, and the hotel is on the street with the Sunday Market, which is a must-see. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended.
