I’ve stayed here twice now and would happily come back. Getting around is easy, with the tram, buses, and trains all accessible. Katsurahama beach is about a 15-minute drive, and the hotel has parking, free for motorcycles. The staff are very friendly and accommodating for the price. The single room is compact but comfortable, and I slept really well in the bed.

I checked in, saw the room, and left immediately. The manager was helpful about parking, which was the one good part. There were stains all over the carpet, everything looked worn down, and traffic from the main road and bus station right outside the window was very noisy. The internet didn’t work either. I took the loss on the cost, booked a reliable chain hotel, and got out of there. Avoid this place.

The people there were so kind and helpful.

We had a double room with plenty of room to spread out one large and one small suitcase. The bed and thick towels were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was two delicious slices of bakery bread per person, with no coffee or other drinks. That was a helpful service. The staff were friendly, and Hirome Market is about a 20-minute walk away. The shopping street along the route made the walk interesting, so it didn’t feel too far. The carpet in my room was very dirty, though. Slippers were provided, but they were so thick that I hesitated to put my luggage down on them. Apart from that, I thought the hotel was very nice. Parking was awkward. Our car was too tall for the multi-story garage, and even my kei car wouldn’t fit there. The outdoor lot wasn’t spacious either, with about five cars parked in a row in a space wide enough for two. Cars are parked in parallel, then the staff rearrange them based on who’s leaving the next day. At check-in, they ask what time you’ll leave and keep your car keys, so you need to get them back at reception if you want to reach your luggage later. Some may prefer using a nearby paid lot. At the end of the year, hotel parking cost 1,600 yen.

A room without meals on a weekday is a bargain at 6,000 yen, though prices change between weekdays and weekends. The hotel is conveniently placed in central Kochi City near Rimaya Bridge. Parking costs 800 yen, and it’s best to reserve a spot early.
