I stayed one night while doing the shikoku pilgrimage. The house is beautifully renovated, well cared for, clean, and in a tranquil area. It’s very close to the temple and handy facilities, including a konbini, takoyaki stand, and restaurant. There’s a washing machine, a bath, and many other amenities beyond the basics that make it feel like home. The host speaks English. I called to make the reservation, and we had a pleasant chat at check-in. I’d absolutely stay again and strongly recommend it.

The garden view of the cherry blossom tree was a treat. The house is beautiful and has everything you need, and the host is very friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay, I’d recommend it any time.

I stayed here in October 2024 while on a walking pilgrimage. It was close to Temple No. 33, Sekkei-ji, so checking in was easy even though I arrived just before the temple closed. I enjoyed chatting with the owner about the pilgrimage walk and other travel experiences. It felt like a renovated private house, very clean, and generously stocked with amenities, which made the stay very comfortable. For a walking pilgrim, it was also quite inexpensive as of October 2024. I almost felt guilty paying so little for such comfort. Highly recommend, and thank you!

The nearby shops and convenience stores seemed limited, though there was a supermarket a few minutes' walk away and some restaurants further into the area. I’d like to stay here again if I get the chance. When I arrived in December 2023, they made me tea, which was so relaxing. The room was very clean, and the lovely interior and decorations gave it a nice atmosphere, especially the stained-glass light fixtures. There was a massage chair where I dozed off comfortably. The living room was downstairs, and I slept upstairs. Thank you for laying out the futon for me. There was a washing machine but no dryer, so laundry was dried with a dehumidifier.
