Our dogs could come with us to the private onsen baths, though of course they weren't allowed in the water. There was even a dog bath in the shower area if needed. The baths were clean and a good size. We had a great two-night stay. The owners were warm and patient with my limited Japanese, and a lot of thought has gone into making the place comfortable for both people and pets. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. There were carts with spare dog bowls, toilet mats, and cleaning supplies in the hallway and by the main entrance. There's a large fenced run for the dogs, and the quiet roads nearby are nice if you want to walk farther. The dining room is spacious enough to keep tables apart and limit interactions between the dogs. The set dinners and breakfasts were included and excellent. Each course was delicious, well cooked, and nicely presented. The owner and chef was able to adjust dishes for my dietary needs.
