British House Rondo

The place costs a little more than some other stays in Nasu, but I’d still choose it again. It was a very relaxing, elegant visit, and choosing it was worth the time. The exterior and interior, the food, and the owner’s gentle way of speaking all impressed me. His wife, I assume, was supportive and kind as well. As other reviews mention, there was some mold in the bathroom and fallen leaves here and there. I can see why some guests might dislike that, though I think the climate and surroundings make a bit of it hard to avoid, much like mold in a home bathtub. The rest of the hotel seemed well maintained, and I was very comfortable.

I wasn’t feeling well while I was there, and the owner and his wife were so concerned that they even prepared food for me late in the day. I’m very grateful for their kindness and lovely personalities. It was my first stay, and I was very satisfied with the garden atmosphere, the food, and the open-air bath in my room. I’d definitely like to come back. Thank you so much.

The meals were a real treat on my birthday trip. Each of the two dinners came with a different steak, and after that they served several kinds of cake for dessert. I was completely full, but very happy to have eaten so many delicious things. This was my first trip to Nasu, and I stayed two nights. I had to switch rooms because another one happened to be available, and I’m sorry for the trouble, but they got the room ready right away. It had a small open-air bath and an indoor shower. Everything tasted wonderful, and I’d definitely like to stay again.

It warms me up just like a hot spring, so I came away very satisfied. It’s not actually a hot spring, but it feels like a bath with medicinal stones, and my skin feels really smooth afterward.
