The futons and tatami floors were really comfortable, and the staff were very nice. It's close to the station, with a Denny’s and an udon shop nearby. The room was on the small side, which could be tricky for taller guests. I also found the balcony door hard to open, and the balcony looked a bit unclean. It's a good budget option for exploring Tsukuba, though knowing some Japanese is recommended.

A very affordable traditional Japanese hotel near Tsukuba station. The rooms are small but clean and nice, and they provide a kimono and towels. The AC works well. The staff don't speak English at all.

We had a comfortable, convenient stay as a family for two nights 😊 The futons were fluffy and really comfortable. There was a free Pac-Man machine by the entrance and manga you could borrow in the hallway, which gave the place a cosy retro Showa-era feel. The toilet seat was the old-fashioned kind and quite cold, but everything else made for a pleasant stay 😊
