Business Hotel Yamate Inn

It’s a clean hotel with a tasty breakfast included. A good option if you’re visiting kofu by car.

A really nice hotel, with breakfast and very kind staff.

The welcome drinks after check-in were a nice touch, with both alcohol and soft drinks available. Breakfast is included and seems to be much the same as the picture each day. I skipped the bread and ordered everything else, which made for quite a big serving. The chicken soup had lots of seaweed and a good chicken flavor, though it was a bit too salty for me. The room seemed very clean, but there was a Korakuen restaurant right outside the window, so I felt awkward and quickly shut the curtains. Amenities are by the first-floor elevator, so remember to pick up what you need. There’s a bar by the first-floor entrance, though I couldn’t tell if you can eat there. I checked out at 8:30am and had trouble getting away because the road outside was congested.

Watch out when driving into the parking lot. The entrance is narrow, and for a left turn you need to slow right down and steer sharply or you could hit the curb. I think the closest space to the road should be kept clear, but it isn’t. The coin laundry across the street is handy, and you could use it while eating at the Kourakuen next door. Breakfast is served buffet-style at a table in the lobby, which felt quite luxurious.
