Urban Villa Konaya Hotel

The rooms and hotel look a little dated, but everything is well kept, and my room was spotless. The staff I met were all warm and ready to help. The first floor has separate public baths for men and women, with indoor and outdoor tubs, though neither is very large. Breakfast had a good choice of Japanese and Western options. There isn't a coin laundry at the hotel or a laundromat within walking distance, so I had to use the laundry service. The price was okay.

The hot spring water is rich in minerals, with a slight sulfur smell, and the upgraded baths are properly hot. Getting from the rooms to the baths takes a slightly complicated route, but it's worth it. Even the Western-style rooms are roomy and clean, and each has its own WiFi network. The décor has a lot of character. It feels like an older hot spring hotel that's been blended smoothly with Southeast Asian style. Breakfast costs a bit more, but it's luxurious.

The lobby is beautiful, and the design throughout is really artistic. I also had a great onsen experience.

I loved the Japanese breakfast and the spa. The lobby, bar, and restaurants are beautiful too. We had the junior suite, which was quiet, extremely clean, and very spacious, with a huge bathroom, nice furniture, and a great mattress. The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how well they spoke English.
