Hatago Sakura

I come here every year during my birthday month, and feel comfortable bringing my large dog along. I can enjoy the hot spring in my room, and the food is so delicious that I can't finish it all. The waiters are from overseas, but they've been thoroughly trained and speak Japanese fluently. The hospitality overall is excellent.

Traveling with our two dogs is one of our favorite things, and we make sure to visit Saikura at least once a year. I'm always looking forward to the food. Ingredients I usually don't care for have surprised me in the best way, tasting so good that I can hardly believe it. The room is simple and clean, and the thoughtful little touches in the amenities make it comfortable. I love this auberge. Now I'm already wanting to go back!

The French food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Everyone on staff, including the chef, was so friendly that I had a really pleasant time. Surrounded by nature, the detached house felt relaxing, with a dog run and an open-air bath in the room. I'd like to visit again. 😊

We booked because my family wanted to swim. The pool was large enough for a comfortable swim, and since it's filled with free-flowing hot spring water, it was a fun feature. There were swim rings and floats on the deck, so even people who can't swim could enjoy it. The annex was easy to drive up to. The living room, bedroom, and other spaces were roomy, with a coffee maker and a refrigerator we could use for free. The indoor bath fit the whole family, though the water was hot and we had to cool it with cold water. Finding the place by navigation was easy, but I couldn't work out where the front desk was and had to call. When it was time, we went to the restaurant building and had a private room. Alongside the set course, there was a buffet of light bites such as salad and prosciutto, which we enjoyed as we ate. There was also a wide choice of alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was in the same private room, with a choice of Japanese or Western food. The buffet had yogurt and salad too, so we chose Harapan. The stay felt very private. I'd like to go back when I'm in the mood to swim.
