The staff were so welcoming, and one of them spoke Korean and helped us out. Let them know roughly when you'll arrive, and they'll meet you at the entrance and show you to your room, which has a lovely traditional Japanese feel. Look for your name on the blackboard outside. We went to the onsen twice a day. It's a decent size, with lots of cave-like natural features. The men's and women's baths switch at 7:30 pm, with the assignment changing each day. We had different breakfasts on both mornings. We didn't have dinner, so can't comment on it. I heard there might be fireflies at night, but didn't see any. The staff's hospitality was wonderful, and I'd definitely recommend the place.

The building is old, but you can see they try to keep it clean. Three of us had plenty of space with two beds and a futon on the tatami, and having a bathroom in our room was a plus. We enjoyed both hot spring baths, which alternate between men's and women's use. The first-floor one was better. Dinner was a kaiseki course, simple and refined, though not the best. It's a quiet neighborhood with an old hot spring hotel.

My parents were really happy with the hot springs, and they're already asking to come back next year. The basement bath was warm when my mother and I used it on the first day. The next day we went to the first-floor open-air bath, which had the traditional Japanese hot spring atmosphere and scenery shown in the photos. We were visiting from Korea and drove about an hour from Fukuoka Airport. The owner was very friendly. The meals were healthy, though our main reason for coming was the baths. Thank you, owner 👍🏻🙏🫰

They even took a photo of my dog when we arrived, then laminated it as a little keepsake for us when we left. The staff were thoughtful throughout, and we're definitely coming back. I stayed with my dog, and we could eat together. They had a dog-friendly chair at meals and even set out a small plate of dried chicken breast, though my dog doesn't have many teeth, so sorry about that! They also microwaved the dog food I'd brought along. In the room there were pet sheets and a cage, plus a free dog yukata that we enjoyed. The meal was a real treat and we were very satisfied, even for the price (lol). I was told this is a place to experience the changing seasons.
