One of the prettiest resorts in the area, with a private en-suite bath and an amazing view of the Mount Aso mountains. The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious, and the price was quite reasonable. If you can, get dinner too. It’s a legendary multi-course Japanese meal with shabu shabu and sashimi. Highly recommended!

It’s close to the kurokawa onsen area, and having your own private onsen is lovely. I’d be happy to come back. The bathroom can be slippery because of the onsen water, so be careful. Breakfast was great, with a lovely view of the autumn leaves in the garden.

The breakfast was tasty and just the right amount. The onsen looks out over the mountains, and the peaceful setting has a lovely view. There were a few red leaves around in early autumn.
