There's not much choice up in the mountains, so sharing a bathroom was fine. The place is clean and simple, and the food was decent too.

The bath has the feel of a cute, ordinary home bathroom, and the food was delicious. It's reasonably priced, and I'd be glad to stay again. Just keep in mind this is a guesthouse with a homey atmosphere: footsteps, voices, and creaky doors can be heard, so it may not suit you if those bother you.
It was cool enough in the mornings during my summer stay that I didn't need the air conditioning. The room had a nice view, and the room, toilet, and bathroom were all spotless. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with generous portions, and the price was reasonable. I'd stay here again.
We got a warm rice ball bento box made for us when we mentioned we'd be heading out early to climb Mt. Tsurugi 🥺. The staff were so friendly and kind, and we ate lots of tasty local dishes, including grilled amego trout, konjac sashimi, and vinegared udo (Japanese spikenard) 😋. The shared toilets and sinks were very clean. The small outdoor bath was clean too. Thanks so much for everything 💞
The walk to Kazura Bridge is very convenient from here. Staff were friendly, and they even let us leave our car parked for free at checkout on our second day. Dinner is worth adding, especially the grilled fish and skewers of potato, tofu, and konjac seasoned with soy sauce. The shower setup was the one small inconvenience: the shared bathhouse is reached by crossing a little outdoor area, which could be awkward in the rain.
