As a Western visitor, I wouldn't rate this hotel highly. The room was extremely small, and the bed and pillow were rock hard and too short. They also only clean and service the room once every four days.

Cleaning has improved since September, though towels are sometimes missing altogether. Coming back around check-in time can mean waiting several minutes just to get the room key. There's only one elevator, and its old system often makes it pass by.

The rooms were really neat, and the breakfast buffet had an amazing selection. The staff were kind and very accommodating. Komaki Castle is only a few minutes away if you're up for a short hike, and the views are beautiful.

The staff were very friendly, and hotel guests can use the bikes for free. I found the onsen really relaxing.

Good food and a convenient spot, and it was good value apart from the beds, which were terribly hard. Yama Chan is a short walk away for chicken wings, and well worth the visit.
