There was nobody at the service desk when my flight was delayed, and I couldn't get into my room anymore. I spent the night in the cold. Zero stars.

The room is small but very clean, and the toilet sparkles. There’s a hot bath tub and a fridge. Best of all, there’s lots of halal food nearby and a shopping street close by.

The location is great, but the rooms are extremely small and staff are usually away from reception. Our flight was delayed, so we got there at 11 pm, after the stated 10 pm check-in time, and nobody was available to check us in. A staff member showed up later, seemed unhappy to see us, and said they could cancel our booking even though we’d already paid in advance. They did eventually check us in, but it wasn’t a nice arrival.

The rooms are compact: two twin beds side by side, a small refrigerator, and no cabinets. We could only open one large suitcase at a time, so I’d say it’s really for two people. The bathroom was clean, with a Japanese toilet and a small tub. The amenity bar on the first floor has disposable toothbrushes, razors, combs, green tea, body sponges, and night shirts, but no pajamas. Rooms are cleaned once every four days, while fresh towels come daily. You can borrow a portable luggage scale from the front desk. The location is handy, near Nippombashi Station and within walking distance of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. There are plenty of local and chain restaurants and conbinis nearby. Tamade Supermarket is open 24 hours and 280 meters away; Aeon Food Hall is about the same distance. The value seemed fair at ¥7500 per night. If you’re paying ¥10000-¥12000, maybe you booked too close to your travel dates and should have booked earlier. We wouldn’t pay more than ¥8000 per night here. We stayed June 1-7, 2025 and booked in November 2024.

The service was the worst part of our stay. We asked to leave our luggage while we went to Kyoto and were told no. We also couldn’t use the lobby bathroom because we hadn’t checked in yet. On the last day, we were in a rush and packed sandwiches to eat in front of the lobby, but were told to move completely off the hotel property. That was crazy. The room was small, which I could understand given the location, but the heater was excessive and made it so stuffy I got a headache. Staff weren’t helpful or friendly, and there was no sense of service at all. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in while travelling. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
