My room had its own onsen, which was nice, and it looked freshly renovated and was clean. There was only one pillow, but you can choose one for yourself on the third floor. Tea was available in the lobby, with coffee in the morning. There are large public baths for men and women, but I didn't try them because I had a private bath in my room. The main drawback was the smell of mold in the hotel. The outside looked clean, but other areas smelled musty too. Dinner and breakfast were served in a separate room, which was fine, though that room smelled moldy and parts of the wall had come off. The person serving dinner wasn't Japanese but did her best to get everything right. Stayed 4/20-21/2025.

The room had been newly decorated, the food was good, and the service was excellent. The free shuttle to Komatsu airport was a nice extra.

The kani dinner was wonderful, the wall art was amazing, and the shower area was really spacious. The air felt fresh too, and the service was excellent. A fantastic onsen hotel.

Our waitress showed us to the room, carried our luggage, made tea, and came back to see us off. Her Japanese was a little broken, but her kindness came through. She served the meals with thoughtful, unhurried hospitality, letting us eat at our own pace instead of making us feel rushed or as if the inn's convenience came first. The food was delicious, and breakfast was generous. We also enjoyed the lounge service, the onigiri served as a late-night snack, the wide range of amenities, the elegant interior, and the room layout. Our room had a cypress open-air bath with water that was a comfortable temperature, not too hot. The tub was high, though, and its wooden lid was quite heavy, so it might be difficult for elderly guests to use. I wish we'd had time to try the large public bath and the late-night restaurant, which looked fun. I'd like to return and take a more relaxed hot spring bath.
