I feel disrespected by this outdated way of thinking. It’s 2025, and it’s astonishing that people still assume someone with tattoos must be a gangster or have a bad reputation. This is unacceptable.

The hotel staff were very helpful when we asked for a simple dinner from the lunch menu without a reservation. The manager was especially helpful and spoke English fluently. I appreciated that. The onsen water was great too.

After hiking up Mt. Gozashou all day, this is a lovely onsen to unwind at. The outdoor baths and atmosphere are wonderful. I’d recommend dinner afterward at the Soba/Yakitori restaurant down the road.

I’ve stayed here a few times for work and social events. The staff are very nice, and the facilities are clean. The hot springs are the nicest part, with pretty indoor and outdoor pools. The food wasn’t very good, unfortunately, and otherwise there’s nothing especially distinctive about the place.
