Gokan Kotohira

Best place we stayed on this vacation. The house was nice and really convenient.

The garden by the entrance gave the place an open feel, and we could spread futons out in the raised Japanese-style room. We stayed at FIRE, and the spacious living room had a comfortable sofa, a Switch, and card games, so it worked really well for our family. There was air conditioning and heating in every room, even the changing rooms, which made things comfortable. The kitchen had cutlery, a microwave, and a toaster, handy for warming the bagels we bought next door. One night felt too short. I'd like to come back for longer next time.

Our two dogs seemed relaxed and happy at Earth. We were a family of four with the dogs, and the place was very dog-friendly, with cages on both floors and some toys left as gifts. The room was spotless, the beds were fluffy, and I appreciated finding makeup remover and lotion provided. It was also close to the approach to Konpira Shrine, with stylish shops nearby.

The bedroom and living room were separated by a door, which made the layout comfortable. I stayed at Fire on a cold day and really appreciated that the room had been warmed up ahead of time. The kitchen and bathroom amenities made it easy to just drop in, though after staying there I wanted to stay longer. I got to look at several rooms, and each had its own feel. It made me want to try staying in both.
