Koyasan Guest House Tommy

Tommy, the owner, welcomed us like family and suggested places to eat and things to see around Koyasan before we even had to ask. The guest house had all the amenities we needed, and we were so happy with the hospitality and our stay. It was the cutest, most comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

It's quiet here, tucked along a side road or path, but the bus stop, temples, and famous cemetery are all very accessible. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the facilities were great. Staff were friendly and helpful. When I wrote this, guests could get a discount on purchases at the cafe next door. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

We wanted an alternative to staying in a temple, and this place turned out to be such a nice surprise. It was clean and had lots of thoughtful details for guests, including information on ceremonies and events in Koyasan when we arrived. We also had breakfast the next day at the coffee shop, and it was really nice.

Koyasan is one of Japan's most incredible places, and this guesthouse was a fantastic base in town. It costs much less than most other local places, and Tommy and his staff were warm and welcoming. Anna, Tommy's wife, served us a delicious breakfast at the corner coffee shop, so don't miss stopping there. We went last November.
