It was really clean, and getting complimentary drinks, cake, and snacks at check-in was such a nice touch. I could properly unwind here and would like to come about once a month. Hair oil would be a welcome addition, though.

The meal was a letdown: the rice was rubbery and bland, and the small hamburger steak looked even more meager on its oversized plate. The TV was also extremely loud through an external speaker. Maybe you can switch it to the TV speaker, but there was no explanation, so I couldn’t tell how. I found the rules confusing too, including the breakfast ordering cutoff, and would have liked someone to explain them better. The complicated setup made it hard to step out during a meal. Since payment is upfront, I expected to be able to come and go freely. It felt like being in prison. The front desk man came across as brusque and uneducated. At first, the free cake, snacks, and soft drinks sounded appealing, but the service put me off. I checked the reviews afterward and saw a similar complaint, probably about the same man. The good reviews seem mostly from people who enjoyed the free treats without dealing with staff, while the bad ones describe poor service after an interaction. Is it a bait-and-switch? There were notices about theft and equipment damage, as well as a sign saying the hotel records car license plates. Maybe things had been really bad, but it gave me the impression that the guests were low-class, and that the hotel’s own low standards attract them. Honestly, I can’t call this a good hotel. I don’t expect it to improve, and I’d recommend looking elsewhere. I don’t think I’ll return.

The next morning my hair still feels so smooth that I keep touching it for no reason. This high-performance dryer leaves it feeling almost like someone else’s hair, as if I’d just left a salon. It does more than dry quickly.

For the price of a business hotel, this feels like a trip to heaven, practically for free. After screaming at a concert, you can cool off with a complimentary drink, rinse away the exhaustion under a Mirabelle shower, then put your favorite band on VOD. What a combination.
