001.The Biginning

The location was convenient, with Sakuramachi bus terminal and the castle easy to walk to, the train station a few tram stops away, and plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. But the apartment was disgusting when we arrived, despite looking OK in the photos. The sofa was dirty and covered in hairs, the table had what I think were food crumbs on it, and the sinks were filthy. The bathroom smell was one of the foulest I've encountered and never cleared, even with the room ventilated. I held my breath every time I went to pee. There were also quite a few bugs flying around in the toilet bowl at check-in (see photo). The hand-towel-sized bathroom towels smelled awful too. We complained to the host. She brought replacements a few hours later and left them outside while we were away, so we never met her in person. We were there for only two nights, and I couldn't wait to leave from the moment we arrived. Probably the most disgusting, icky place I've stayed. We stayed in September 2025. I hope the hosts have made changes since then. Otherwise, please stay away from renting this place.
