《20260320》 🥈Would revisit: Highly likely 🚂Getting there: Car✔️Motorcycle✔️Train✔️Bus✔️ 🪧Breakfast: Follow us on IG👉kaoru0197 (Kaoru Xiaoxin) (The limited time is the best part!) ⌚️Arrival: 16:25 (Friday) ⌛️Booked through: Booking.com 💰Cost: Less than NT$12,000 for 8 adults and 1 child 🪑Stay: 1 night 🌟What it has: 1️⃣Two toilets and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. 2️⃣A kotatsu, or heated table. 3️⃣Parking for 2 cars. 4️⃣Key lock and combination lock. 5️⃣Quiet surroundings. 🙅‍♀️Downsides: ⚠️Things to know: 1️⃣It's a renovated century-old house. 2️⃣Two of the four rooms are separated only by curtains. 3️⃣The heating system is complete, but you can't run all the heaters at once because there's a risk of a power outage. 💡My impressions: 1️⃣The guesthouse owner was very friendly and showed us around the area. 2️⃣The noise detection system was unique 🤣 It sets off an alarm if noise goes over 100 decibels. My one-year-old daughter didn't exceed that even while crying, so there's not much to worry about. 3️⃣The pillows and bed are on the soft side, but still quite comfortable. Turning over in the double bed can disturb the neighbors, though. 🤣

The host is really kind, and the house is cozy and stylish, with two stories. It's in a quiet residential area and so clean you'd hardly believe it's 100 years old.

We drove here, and found the location very convenient, close to the station, department stores, attractions, and shopping streets. This century-old Japanese house is surprisingly well equipped. The owner gives a detailed explanation of everything, making it a good option for groups staying several days.

The narrow alley leading to the house might feel a little scary if you're driving a left-hand-drive car 😂😂😂. Aside from that, this traditional Japanese house was incredibly comfortable and gave us a brand new experience. The owner stayed in touch from the time we booked, was ready to help, and quickly met any needs we had. Kumamoto Station is about a 10-minute walk away, so shopping and train travel are convenient. Five stars, highly recommended! 👍👍👍
