Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach

The best thing about this hotel is its position right beside the beach, with direct private access. We swam, explored the islands and rocks, and looked for crabs and other sea life. Being able to walk back with wet, sandy gear instead of driving to and from the beach made the price worthwhile for us. The hotel is one of the pricier options in Okinawa, though nearby hotels can cost much more. The building is clearly old, and the furniture and fixtures show their age, but it was clean enough. The buffet was decent, with a good mix of Okinawan and Japanese food plus some options that suit foreign guests. For an easy beach day in this area, it’s a pretty good choice.

The beaches are an easy walk away, with lovely scenery, and you can swim or dive among colorful fish. Breakfast was really nice too. The rooms are well kept, spacious, and large by Japanese hotel standards, including the bathrooms. It’s a beautiful place and I’d recommend it. Try for a room on the third floor if you want a better view.

The quiet, small private beach was a real plus, with lots of room to swim. We saw just one other family there in August. The hotel is a really nice Best Western, with comfortable spacious rooms, friendly staff, and tasty breakfast. You’ll need a car to get around because there aren’t many places close by, but that worked fine for us. We had a peaceful three-night stay.

I had an ocean-view room, and the scenery and sea breeze were breathtaking. The room was clean, and I felt safe here.
