The bedding was the main problem for me. I broke out in hives as soon as I got into bed, and the itching kept me from sleeping properly for a few days. I can't tell whether it was bites or an allergy. After washing the sheets and pillowcases, I left the comforter, mattress pad and pillow in my car in the summer heat to disinfect them, and finally slept well. I spend about a third of each year staying away from home for work, and this was the first time I'd had this happen. Bedding can collect dust mites if it isn't aired out regularly. I know this is a low-cost private lodging, but I wish there'd been more attention to it. I'd stay again if the bedding issue had been fixed. The room itself was clean, and the 1DK felt fairly spacious since the bath and toilet were separate. It has the basic furniture and appliances, though for a longer stay with cooking and laundry, things like a dish drainer or clothesline would be useful. Supermarkets and home improvement stores nearby make it easy to buy what's missing.

There are supermarkets, convenience stores and hardware stores close by, and the price was reasonable, so I'd be happy to stay again. The room and facilities were clean and nice. This was my first stay of several nights. My only hassle was the bathroom faucet, which has no temperature control and was hard to adjust.

The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and nobody cleaned the room on the second day of my two-night stay, so I took off two points. If there won't be any cleaning the next day, I think the rate for the following nights should be lower. They also didn't replace the cups or top up the coffee and tea.

There's a washing machine in each room, and the inn is comfortable. Ask the manager and he can show you the key spots around the Kunisaki Peninsula. He's an interesting guide, and people often add nights because one stay doesn't feel like enough.
