The bright Lawson sign just outside my window was more prominent than I expected, and stayed lit all night. The hotel is only a three-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, which made it a convenient base. Breakfast was complimentary, enjoyable, and well prepared, and self-service check-in and checkout were smooth. My stay was comfortable overall. Just note there’s no 24-hour coffee service.

I left my bag at the hotel for a few hours while I explored the nearby historic area. Breakfast was satisfying, even though it was set up in the small lobby. The bed was softer than at some other Toyoko hotels, so I slept pretty well. If you can get one, the premium rooms are better.

A handy place to stay while seeing Kurashiki. Tourist spots, JR stations, and a supermarket are all nearby. Breakfast is included from 6 to 10, and you can refill water or get ice on the first floor. They also provide toiletries like face-care sets, toothbrushes, and cotton buds. One parking detail: the hotel lot only fits cars up to 1.55 m high. Taller cars can use nearby parking for 600 yen, one entry from 6 pm to 10 am.

The free breakfast was delicious, and the room was both clean and quite spacious. A wonderful place to stay in Kurashiki.

It's a standard chain hotel of the kind you find throughout Japan. Their membership deal gives you one free room after ten stays. They have a parking lot.
