We had a wonderful birthday stay and the staff treated us so well. They brought us lanterns for an evening walk along the canals, and while we were out they somehow changed the room from lounge setup to futons. The wooden bathtubs were lovely, and the kaiseki dinner was generous and high quality. They also brought out a special fruit plate for a celebratory dessert. The staff were pleasant and easy to talk to, which made the stay even nicer. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby for a wander, and Ohara and other remarkable museums are close too.
