The room was clean and comfortable for the price, and getting to Kyoto was manageable, with trains running often. The walk to the station took about 10-15 minutes. What really stood out was the staff, especially the ladies at the front desk. They went to a lot of trouble to get us tickets for a Kabuki show in Tokyo when the shows seemed full everywhere. It was a great experience, one I won't forget. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind.

There’s a convenience store a couple of minutes away, which was handy. I was disappointed that there were only a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

The room was clean, and breakfast and dinner are available on the ground floor.
