The staff provided really good service, and there’s a 7-Eleven across the street. Still, the room felt a little dated, and I think the hotel is due for a major renovation. If I’m back in Kusatsu city on a business trip, I’d choose a different hotel. Sorry.

I was on a video call with my family and spoke too loudly in the lobby for less than 20 seconds. I know that was my fault, but the receptionist came over holding a stick and told me not to talk so loudly. Did he really need to do that? A lot of things about this hotel have offended me, and I’ve started to hate it. I should have spent a little more for somewhere better. Horrible.

The staff were so nice and tried to help, even though their English wasn’t very good. There’s an inexpensive restaurant right across from the hotel. The shuttle only runs in the morning, and you have to request it the night before. I’m not sure if booking two weeks before my trip affected the price, but it felt expensive for what I got.
