Pension BERGLAND

The owner helped take us to and from the town center so we could see the Yumomi ceremony. Our room was very cozy, and we enjoyed the resort's small onsen. The food was Western-style and quite good.

A hot spring ticket was included, and the price was reasonable, so I was very satisfied. From my room, I could see the mountains covered in autumn leaves, which was wonderfully relaxing. The room felt homey, the homemade meals were warm and enjoyable, and the staff were friendly throughout my stay. I'd definitely come back when I visit Kusatsu.

It's a little way from the Yubatake hot spring area, but with colder weather coming, the walk might be just right for warming up. The bath fits two or three people, which was fine. The facilities aren't new, but they were clean and well maintained. The guesthouse owners were very kind, and the food was delicious.

The atmosphere and food were very good, and I'd like to return. Dinner was delicious, though I would've been even happier with slightly bigger portions. I know that's asking a lot. The room was average, but the old door felt like it might break easily. The hallway floor was a little uneven and made noise even when I walked carefully, so getting around at night felt stressful. Some motorcyclists staying that night were also noisy. I don't know which room they were in, but I could hear them talking. I suppose that's part of staying at a guesthouse, though I think guests could be warned about noise beforehand. Thank you.
