Bliss Lodging

Sakura cottage was so lovely that we hated having to leave. The wood interior and tatami room looked beautiful, and the place felt comfortable, relaxing, and spotless. After skiing, we’d settle onto the couch, warm up, and watch Japanese TV. The people at Bliss Lodging were the kindest hosts we met in Japan. They welcomed us when we arrived and even cleared the snow off our car the next morning. It made us feel thoroughly spoiled. We'd gladly recommend the cottage and come back.

Getting between the resorts was easy, with several buses serving Hirafu and Hanazono. The rooms also worked well for our group and had what we needed to stay comfortably. Bliss Lodging made a real effort for us. Our flights into Sapporo were delayed, so we arrived at different times, but the staff picked us up from different bus stops and train stations without any fuss. The themed evenings were a highlight too, with tasty meals prepared by the team and included with a drink. We’ll be back! Josh & Pat

The staff were really welcoming and took good care of me. They suggested some great places to visit, cleared snow and ice off my car each morning, and even gave me a lovely gift for something I was celebrating. I booked a room with two beds and two futons, though we only used the futons. They were set up with double mats, so they felt especially soft and warm. I'll be back.

The rooms were new, warm, and clean, with a stovetop, toaster, and fridge in ours. The bathroom was clean and very nice too. When we first got out of the car, the staff came to greet us with a welcoming party, hugs included. They put on a great dinner and entertainment, and the service was some of the most welcoming we've had. Highly recommend it, and I'll return.
