Kamakura Apartments

The apartment is a good base for getting around Hirafu on foot, and we even walked in ski boots to the lowest lift by NBS a few times. The roads get really slippery and dangerous in winter, though. We stayed for a week in late January 2024, six friends in a spacious upper-floor Apt 4. I hadn't seen some of these photos elsewhere, so I'll add a few. We booked through Ski Japan, who were great and shuttled us around when needed. Apt 4 is similar to Apt 3 and has three rooms, though I didn't photograph the third. There were eight single beds that can be made into doubles, but for some reason we were only allowed to book six. There were also rollaway beds, maybe more suitable for kids. I think Apts 1 and 2 are smaller. Our apartment had a washing machine and dryer, two ensuite bathrooms, a main toilet, and a main bath and shower room. The shared drying room for all four apartments on the first floor was nice and warm, with the ski and board room beside it. The boots were lovely and warm in the morning. Only two keys for six people wasn't ideal, but we managed. A combo lock might work better.
