The constant mechanical noise kept me awake. There was a low hum from the ventilation fan and elevator, like a ship's engine, and the elevator motor made a loud whirring sound. My room was next to the elevator, which made it worse. I couldn't sleep from the stress, and it was awful. Bring earplugs. This isn't a place for sensitive sleepers, and I wouldn't stay again even for free. At check-in, the front desk was empty, so I waited about five minutes. It was late, though not the middle of the night, and I understand, but a call button would have helped. The facilities were very old: a retro Showa-era elevator that made me worry about getting stuck during an earthquake, cracked plumbing, rusty door closers, and doors with a varnished shine. Opening the door made a strange cracking sound, haha. It really felt like a Showa-era inn. Don't expect the cleanliness of a chain business hotel. A small mosquito was flying around my room, and I couldn't help wondering where it got in. The desk was barely big enough to count as one, so business travelers should know that working on a laptop in the room is impossible. There aren't any nearby cafes where you can use a laptop.

The building is showing its age from the common areas to the guest rooms, but the air conditioning and plumbing work fine and are comfortable. If you mainly need somewhere to sleep, the service is more than enough. It also looks like there's a large public bath with a sauna. The hotel is near the station, restaurants, and convenience stores. The price was quite reasonable, though it probably varies by season. Razors aren't included with the bathroom amenities and cost extra. The affiliated parking lot is "SK Kakegawa Station Front Parking," where parking costs a little less than the daily maximum rate.

For the price, the room wasn't dirty, though it could have used a bit more cleaning. Service is self-service. I was there one night on a business trip, but checked in at 6 PM, went straight to a drinking party, and didn't get back until 2 AM, so I didn't see much of the hotel.

I stayed for three nights and four days, July 1-4, 2025. It's a short walk from Kakegawa Station, with good access, and the facilities were clean and well-equipped. Cashless payment is accepted. Booking through the hotel website gives the lowest price, even though the rates are already low. In the room there was a TV, kettle, hair dryer, green tea bags, and a desk with two outlets. The refrigerator took a long time to cool, the desk felt small, and the Wi-Fi could be better. Two mobile lines were available, but both had weak signal. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Other facilities include coin laundry, one vending machine, a large public bath, massage service, and manga. Women need reservations for the public bath. Self-service items are in front of the first-floor front desk. At check-in, you get a coin for the vending machine and can use it for one free drink of your choice. There's a Lawson in front of the station, plus a kiosk and other facilities inside the station. Within walking distance there are two supermarkets, an izakaya next to the hotel, McDonald's, a bento shop, and more. The front desk staff were very friendly. I noticed a few minor drawbacks, but the hotel was clean and well-equipped, and seems ideal if you're trying to keep accommodation costs down.
