Skye Niseko

Our best stay in Niseko by far. The staff were exceptionally helpful and proactive, which can be rare in Niseko, particularly during peak holidays. We’ve already booked a return visit. The guest login portal and concierge made it easy to see all our booked transfers, ski lessons, and rentals. Booking a private onsen on the in-room tablet was effortless, and especially welcome when the public ones were quite full. Laundry and dryers were free, which made washing ski gear easy. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was even better. We liked the provided pajamas / samue so much that we bought sets to take home. There are two gondolas a very short walk away, giving us good ski choices each morning. The room and bathroom both had heated floors, and there was a shuttle into town. All the little extras made the trip so easy. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. A+++

Our three-bedroom unit fit six people well, and it was convenient that every room had its own bathroom. The location is prime for ski-in/ski-out: take the elevator from ski rental, then ski straight to the main gondola. The lodging was good, though a few spots weren't clean at check-in. They quickly arranged a thorough cleaning. The ski rental service needs improvement. They handed us boots to try but didn't help put them on or take them off, unlike most places in the US. That was especially hard with one of my kids being a beginner. Staff also didn't offer to help remove my wife's boots at the end of the day or bring the skis in. For somewhere that's supposed to be high end, the rental area fell short.

I wanted to love this place. The ski-in/ski-out location is perfect, the facilities are top-notch, and breakfast had impressive variety and taste. But the breakfast service was so disrespectful it ruined the experience. I got there at 9:30 AM. Before 10, staff announced that the food would be taken away in five minutes, so I got more, thinking I could finish in peace. At 10 sharp, they started telling everyone to leave, even people with full plates. They kept hovering and repeating it until people stood up. They handed out containers so guests could eat elsewhere, just not in the restaurant. I'll never come back.

From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience. Everyone we met on staff went out of their way to make us feel like VIPs. The concierge helped with lift tickets, and they sorted out a baby bed, an extra night, great cocktails at the après, fun family activities in the lounge, and even a special shuttle bus lift pickup. No request felt too small. Thank you for a wonderful ski trip. We look forward to staying with you next year!
