We had an awesome week with Mnk at The Orchards. We stayed in Sawara, a spacious four-bedroom chalet with ensuite bathrooms all on the first floor. The living and kitchen area upstairs had an amazing view, and the pool table was a big hit. It isn’t close to the base stations, but the complimentary private shuttle anywhere in Hirafu made getting around easy. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We were impressed by the amenities at Shimai Chalet. It was thoughtfully equipped, and the pool table and Nintendo Switch with games made our stay more comfortable and fun. One suggestion for the owners of The Orchards Niseko: since many guests spend the day skiing or snowboarding, massage chairs in the chalets would be a welcome way to relax and recover afterward.

We weren’t staying at The Orchards, but after dinner at Caldera we couldn’t find a taxi. Reception staff kindly offered to drive us back to our resort for free when we asked if they could call one. It saved us a long wait in the cold and was incredibly thoughtful. Thanks again, your kindness really made our evening.

Getting around was easy even without a car, since the orchards' shuttle took us to the gondolas and around town. We spent a week at Shimai (Chalet #63) during ski season, and the place made a great impression. The heated floors and huge stone-and-wood tub were incredible. I'd love to stay there again.

Hirafu's center is close enough to reach the ski spots around Niseko easily, but this place sits outside the busy middle of town. It was quiet, peaceful, and felt safe for our family trip.
