The rooms were spotless, and the kitchen was roomy and had all the basics. We stayed as a group at Snow Crystal and really enjoyed it. The views of Mount Yotei were amazing, and the place felt so cozy that we kept lingering instead of heading out for first tracks on time. Maddie was wonderful throughout the stay. She gave us daily suggestions for places to visit and particular slopes to try, based on that day’s conditions. She was friendly, easy to approach, and genuinely helpful. Service and cleaning were spectacular. It was also easy to get to the lifts, rental shops, and plenty of places to eat. Parking right outside was always available, which made things simple. A great place to unwind after skiing, and a good choice if you want more space and privacy while staying close to the action.

Rachel made us feel so welcome at SC. She was always smiling, ready to answer questions, help out, and suggest places to eat and drink. The apartment was clean, tidy, and a good fit for our group. The location was amazing, really handy for the family chair. We loved staying here and would recommend it.

Maddie, our concierge, was great with restaurant suggestions, getting around town, and general advice. The room had an incredible view of Mt Yotei each morning, and the place was clean and well looked after. There was plenty of space for our gear, with a well-run drying room. Getting breakfast across the road and then walking straight to the Family Chairlift made ski days so easy. The chairlift into Hirafu was less than a five-minute walk away, and food and convenience stores were nearby too. The location was the biggest plus.

Maddie and Alysha were especially lovely and helpful, and Millie was great when she drove us to the train station. The whole staff made our stay easy and stress-free, and we’d be glad to come back to Snow Crystal. They sorted out a small mix-up over which address to use for shipping our ski bags, and everything arrived safely. They also arranged a luggage transfer to our next hotel. We appreciated the complimentary rides to Kutchan train station with all our ski gear, and being able to leave our bags there on checkout day while we went skiing.

The location was 1000/10, right by the lifts, bars, and restaurants. The space was clean and well maintained, and the receptionists had useful suggestions for restaurants and things to do around Hirafu village. We had an amazing stay at Snow Crystal and can’t wait to come back!
