Having a living room and kitchen was nice, and the air conditioning and on-site laundry with a clothesline were really convenient. It’s a good Airbnb, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Getting to Nishiki market, pagoda temple, and bamboo forest takes about 30-40 minutes by bus. One small annoyance: you need a separate app to unlock the door, which is tricky if you don’t have data in Japan.

Everything else worked well for us, and the place has all the facilities. It’s a good fit for families or large groups, though there aren’t many restaurants nearby. Finding it can be a bit hard, since it’s an old building tucked down a narrow alley.
