The house is 120 years old, renovated nicely, and has all the appliances you need. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room in the living and dining areas. I'd definitely recommend renting it for family or friends, and we'll come back to Kyoto and stay at Chealsea 24 Guest House ❤️ The host is the greatest. We felt like we'd known her for ages from the first time we met. When we arrived, she'd prepared four kimono for our family. The day before checkout, after we'd been sightseeing, they gave us a large print of a photo they'd taken of us in the kimono. Thank you so much.

The apartment had everything we needed, with a simple shower, two toilets, and a futon that was godlike 👌 Nothing disappointed us. One small thing for the owner to consider: a smart TV with more Japanese and international content, and something to cover the emergency exit sign light at night, since it's really bright. The owner was incredibly welcoming and lovely, thank you again. She explained how everything in the apartment worked and gave us gifts. The little quest she gave us during the stay was a big plus. Check-in was smooth, and checkout was out of this world. She even helped us all the way to the subway to thank us. One of the best welcomes I've had on my travels 🙏👌👌

Getting around was easy from this place, with transport and supermarkets close by. The owner was really friendly and had helpful ideas about what to see and where to go. A fantastic Kyoto stay, definitely worth checking out.

The subway is really close, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and sights nearby, including Kyoto Imperial Palace. The proprietress was so kind and welcoming XD!
