There's no one in the building to help in person, so you'll need to call their number if something comes up. I stayed in a Twin room with two twin beds and a dinette. The bathroom had a small all-in-one washer-dryer, and the room also had a large tub and a Japanese-style shower.

The room was quite spacious and cleaned perfectly every day, and we never heard street noise even though the area is touristy. This is my favorite part of Kyoto, and I'll definitely stay at my k house again. The staff were five-star, always ready to help with anything during our stay. One suggestion: if they don't already offer it, I'd appreciate breakfast delivered to the apartment for an extra charge, perhaps arranged with a bakery the day before, including the time and items. Team, keep up the great work.

We were especially happy to find a washer and dryer inside the unit, and the rooms were a good size with the amenities we needed. The location was excellent, too. After several weeks traveling around Japan, my wife and I would call this our favorite stay, even compared with the several nights we spent at a luxury ryokan and a luxury hotel.

The mountain-side rooms have a great view, and the man at reception was very friendly and spoke English. But I could see a lot of dust on the high surfaces because I'm tall, and the buildup was far too noticeable. The rooms look nice at first, but if they had been dusted, this would've been five stars. Unfortunately, I'd probably choose a different hotel if I returned to Kyoto.
