First Cabin Kyoto Nijojo

I stayed two nights in September 2025 and had an amazing time at FIRSTCABIN Kyoto Nijojo. The peaceful atmosphere made the stay memorable, and both the comfort and service were outstanding. I can confidently say it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

First Cabin was incredibly clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. I stayed two nights and found it a fantastic base for exploring Kyoto. There’s a huge supermarket across the road. I’d suggest booking a first class cabin, since it has plenty of room and lets you lock your valuables under the bed.

The capsule itself was neat and spotless, with a TV in each one. You can ask for earphones to use with it. Male guests also have access to a super clean onsen. The bathroom has high-quality amenities, and the soap and conditioner smelled really nice. The communal area was tidy and very clean, with free probiotic drinks, water, coffee and tea, plus a microwave for guests. My only downside was that there’s no separate locker room. You can bring luggage into your capsule as long as it isn’t too big. Best capsule hotel ever!

Everything else was excellent: the staff were friendly, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and housekeeping came daily. The common area had complimentary Yakult, tea, water and snacks. My one complaint is that the blankets are too thin. When it’s around 3-5°C, I need two to stay warm, but there aren’t always two available per person. With just one, you might get cold when the temperature drops, so keep that in mind if you’re visiting in the colder seasons.
