The traditional Japanese touches throughout the inn are beautiful, and it’s cozy and well decorated. It has all the facilities we needed, too. Shops and sights are easy to get to from here, and our host was friendly and helpful when we arrived. We had a great stay.

There was plenty of room for our family of five, including a large Japanese-style lounge, a bathroom, and two toilets. The tatami rooms were really spacious and gave us that real Japanese feel. The staff were lovely and showed us around when we first arrived.

Yumi was a huge help, with clear directions, support even late in the day, and tips about local events. Gojo Miyabi Inn is a spotless, charming traditional townhouse with a peaceful feel, and there was room for six of us and our luggage. It’s also close to central Kyoto, just a short public transport ride from Kyoto Station. We found it a comfortable place to stay.

Yumi-san made everything easy before we arrived by keeping in touch, then showed us around the house and shared useful advice about Kyoto and the neighborhood. The inn worked well for our family trip, and could suit a group of 7-8. We had a wonderful visit and would love to return.

We really enjoyed the pretty Japanese Garden at this clean, nicely decorated, Japanese-style house. Its location near Gojo made it easy to walk to Kamo river and sights like Kiyomizu-dera. The host also gave us plenty of suggestions for restaurants nearby and ideas for our itinerary.
