The location was the best part for us. Fushimi Inari is just a few corners away, and two train stations are really close, which made it easy to get to Gion, Nara, Arashiyama, Kiyomizu Dera, and Osaka, our next city. I stayed three nights with my two kids, aged 7 and 2, and there was enough room for all of us to sleep.
Close to the stations and places to eat, so it’s convenient.
It was a decent place for the price, and the location was good. Fushimi Inari is nearby, which I liked. But check-in was at 5 p.m. and required a code from Agoda for self check-in. It was already past 8 when I needed the code, so I contacted Agoda. They didn’t answer my calls, there was no working line or email address, and ringing the emergency bell over and over got no response. It nearly ruined my day. For this price, I’d rather stay somewhere else and take the subway to Fushimi Inari. Thanks for your hard work.
I stayed here for every night of two separate five-night trips to Kyoto after a friend recommended it. The location is handy: Fushimi-Inagawa JR station is only a few minutes away on foot, and the Inagawa Electric Railway runs right outside, so getting around is easy. Both Japanese and Western-style rooms are available. I picked the Japanese-style Tatami room both times. It’s larger than the Western room, with separate washroom, bathroom, and toilet areas. I could open both suitcases on the washroom floor without blocking the living or sleeping space. The Western room has a regular single bed, which makes getting in and out easier if you don’t like sleeping on the floor or are older. Those rooms are smaller, though, and there isn’t enough room to leave your luggage open all day. That part of the review came from my travel companion, so use it as a reference. The owner, Kogoro, is a native Chinese speaker and speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin. He can communicate easily with people from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Mainland, and is happy to answer travel questions or offer advice about places to visit and food. I was very satisfied and would recommend this B&B to friends.
I’ve stayed at Hana Fushimi Inari twice. It’s clean and convenient, with Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine nearby. Lawson and 7-11 are about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a large supermarket a short distance from the place. The operator is friendly and speaks Cantonese and Mandarin fluently.
