Hotel Iida

The service was great and the place was clean. They have both traditional and Western-style rooms, and the location is great, not far from Kyoto station.

The location was nice and close to the station. My room was Japanese-style.

I rented the place just for a school trip. The rooms are small, there's no shower, and it's fairly dirty, so it isn't a good fit for anyone who likes things clean.

The Japanese-style room had a nice atmosphere, and I was able to use my heated tobacco product indoors. Having a toilet in the room was a plus. It doesn't have that immaculate, antique feel, but the air conditioning and other fixtures seem fairly new, so it was fine. Breakfast was relaxed and pleasant too. I could check in late, and the large public bath staying open until midnight was a real help. The inn is on a street of traditional Japanese inns near Kyoto Station, so getting to the station is easy. I hadn't expected this kind of atmosphere so close by. The neighborhood around it is a busy shopping district.
