The in-house bath was excellent and may be the property's main selling point. The home is in a quiet residential area with an authentic Japanese feel and modern amenities. It's a bit of a walk to find food and other services, and noise insulation was an issue, especially in the restroom.

The host was welcoming and helpful, and shared information about sightseeing in Kyoto. We stayed here during our visit and loved the atmosphere of this beautiful traditional Japanese house, which is over 100 years old. The rooms were nice. One thing to keep in mind for summer, one of the bedrooms doesn't have AC.

It's a beautiful traditional-style house, conveniently located close to the main bus stops.
