The old married couple who run this B&B waited up late for our check-in, which was so kind. The house is traditional but furnished in a very modern way, and it was clean and comfortable, with a roomy separate toilet. The location is great, close to a river that leads to Kamo River within walking distance. Lots of cafes, restaurants and bistros are nearby. I’m surprised nobody had commented on this B&B. A really good find!

The room was just okay, with no soundproofing at all. We could hear everything going on in the hallway. The location is great for enjoying Kyoto, and the service was good. They explained everything kindly and handled check-in in person.

The owner was very friendly and did his best to explain things in English. There were English signs around the room that made me feel cared for. I found the place clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable too. Outside, there was a little bridge and stream, and the alleys nearby were really clean. I found this accommodation on Airbnb and would highly recommend it! 👍
