The staff made the biggest impression on me. I lost my room key and sunglasses while sightseeing, and they called the temple and arranged to have both items picked up and brought back to the hotel. That extra effort turned a frustrating situation into a lovely one. The property is beautiful and calming, from the lobby to the rooms, and it was wonderfully quiet after busy days in Kyoto. The location is central for getting around but tucked into a peaceful part of Gion. Amenities are available, and they can hold your luggage. One of my best stays in Japan, highly recommend!

We were very happy staying here and would recommend it to friends. The room was spacious and clean, and the space was laid out well. The location was wonderful for a couple’s holiday, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided. The friendly, helpful staff were especially appreciated, including the Ms at the front desk from Korea. You may be surprised by what they’ve prepared.

I’d happily stay longer here. The rooms were so cool, and I really appreciated all the nice amenities. The shower setup, where you sit, was relaxing, and the water pressure was crazy high in a good way. The AC worked great too, and there was enough ventilation to keep things from getting too humid.

I loved having a balcony where we could sit and watch the traffic and the river. The hotel was quiet and spacious, and the location was great. It’s been a wonderful stay, and I’m looking forward to coming back. The staff looked after guests really well, and they took care of every request I had.

We asked for a river view and they gave us a room facing the river. The rooms were really spacious, the service was fantastic, and the staff members spoke English well. The Gion location was perfect, and we really enjoyed our stay.
