Tomoya Residence Hotel Kyoto Nijo Takakura

I had a wonderful long stay while working here. My room was quiet, very spacious, clean, comfortable, convenient and well equipped. The staff were lovely and helpful, and made me feel welcome. It’s on a small, quiet street in a nice neighborhood with little restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The closest bus and subway stations are no more than a ten-minute walk away. I’d definitely come back.

The staff were so kind, professional and classy, and the hotel itself is clean, modern and spacious. Restaurants, great shopping and iconic sights are all within walking distance. We were blown away by the location and the people here. Can’t wait to return. Thanks for a memorable stay!

It was the staff who made this stay so memorable. They were attentive and accommodating throughout. When we wanted more fridge space, they removed the drinks that had been stocked in it. They also booked a dinner reservation for us and gave us a card with information to show the restaurant. When my husband accidentally left his phone in a cab, they helped track it down. We had the cab details in the app, and the staff contacted the cab company to find out which police station had the phone. They called and emailed us with updates through the day. That help was priceless. The room was large and comfortable, the location was fantastic, and the air conditioning actually worked.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the service was remarkable. It’s a little away from Kyoto’s main attractions, but they’re still easy to reach on foot or by public transit. This really was a hidden gem, and I’d definitely stay here again when we make it back to this beautiful city.
