Hotel Jardin de Fleurs - Adult Only

The room’s 70s look drew me in, and I’m usually fine with love hotels, but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. There was an extreme smell, black mold, filthy hallways, and a very rude front desk, if you can even call it that. The only things going for it were the location and the motif in the one room I had to request. It’s so bad it should be bought, torn down, and completely rebuilt. Read the reviews, you’ve been warned.

The photos on the booking platform made the place look beautiful, but the actual room was nothing like that, and the hygiene was very poor. Walking in felt eerie and frightening. I asked the front desk for a room card so I could lock the door, and they said there wasn’t one. Only after I got upstairs and asked again did I learn there was a key. Why hadn’t they given it to me? I asked for a refund, but they offered to change our room instead, which felt like misleading customers. They hadn’t explained what kind of hotel this was, and the front desk told me to handle the issue through their platform. I was so scared that night I quickly moved to another hotel. I’d booked for 618 RMB, and with cleanliness like that, I might as well have stayed somewhere else.

The room was spacious and clean, with a big TV, a huge bath, and lots of amenities. There’s a radio tuner linked to the ceiling speaker, with plenty of gentle music stations to choose from, though you can switch it off. I just wish there were towel hangers in the washroom. Remember to turn on both toilet light switches or the toilet won’t flush.

I don’t really get the earlier comments. My room was clean, the staff were helpful, and I had a great stay. I’d recommend it if you want a cheap hotel for a few nights.
