Hotel Keihan Kyotoeki Minami

The room was quite small for three people. We had to take turns opening our suitcases because there wasn’t much space, though the amenities were complete and made the stay practical. Still, I had a good stay overall. The hotel felt modern and quite new, and the service was good, with friendly staff. The location was especially convenient, just across the street from Kyoto Station and near Aeon Mall.

We were a family of five and had enough space, even though the rooms are compact. That seems common in Japan. The room was very clean and convenient, and the laundry room was easy to use. Everything was handled through the phone app, which made things simple. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The hotel is literally just outside Kyoto Station, probably a 30-second walk, and there are food places and shops all around. I’d definitely recommend it for a Kyoto trip.

Service here was beyond five stars. While I was out of the hotel, the Japanese staff came into my room to wash the provided pajamas and towels, fold them, and make the bed. Breakfast was included and delectable too. It’s right beside the station in a peaceful setting. The rooms are a bit small, but nicely suited to a minimalist style, and the bathroom is high-tech. I’d highly recommend it.

The location is great, directly across from Kyoto train station, and both check-in and check-out were easy. The service was great and breakfast was good. I also liked that they can send your luggage to the airport, so you don’t have to carry it on the trains. The room was good, though the restroom felt tight. The round toilet was a little uncomfortable for men.
