The rooms are a good size, bigger than other places we’ve stayed in Japan. There’s a kettle and microwave in the room, and tea is provided, though it’s a shame there’s no coffee. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and there are washing machines, although we didn’t use them. It’s a quiet little hotel on lovely streets lined with traditional Kyoto wooden houses. There’s a nice canal nearby, and convenience stores, including petit fresco, are less than five minutes away. The subway and bus are both about five minutes away, so it’s easy to get wherever you want. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The old town of Higashiyama is gorgeous, with beautiful traditional wooden kyoto buildings all around. Our double room was spacious, and Gion, two stations, and bus stops were all within walking distance. Whenever we came back, the staff greeted us politely, and they sent us off with kind wishes. On rainy days, they made sure we had an umbrella. They showed such care and respect. I highly recommend staying here. I’ll miss Kyoto ❤️

A beautiful neighborhood and friendly, helpful staff. For a budget-friendly hotel in Japan, the room was spacious, and the bus stop is less than five minutes away. Totally worth it.

A nice hotel with a decent-sized room and its own roomy shower room. It has everything you need. Some of the towels looked dirty, but it was easy to get fresh ones.
